The Type H conversion

The Citroen style Type H van is one of the two designs Reward Catering is asked for most often. The corrugated 1950s body is unmistakable on a pitch, and it is built new rather than restored — so the look is vintage and the mechanicals are not.

Catering fit-out

Behind the side hatch the van is fitted out to your menu: cooking line, refrigeration, wash-up and extraction, laid out for the number of people who will actually be working in it. The same workshop builds cocktail, gin and prosecco bars and pizza units on the same body.

Replica versus original

An original H van is a 60-year-old commercial vehicle with 60-year-old wiring, brakes and corrosion. A new build in the Type H style keeps the silhouette and the crowd-stopping effect while giving you modern engineering and running gear underneath, which is what you want when the unit is your business.

Recent builds

Type H style vans go out for street food, coffee, drinks bars and brand activations. Recent work is in the gallery.
